Restaurant Roulette with Suzanne! July Issue!

There are 3 rules to the game:

1) Every month one person picks the places to dine.

2) No one in the group could have eaten there before.

3) Everyone splits the bill.

Follow me on this journey of tasting new things and learning more about the city I love! Feel free to use this game with your own family or friends and share below the amazing places you find throughout your travels!

-JULY-

This month was my pick and I decided to choose Cadence Speakeasy in the Strip District, a place that had been on my list for quite some time. Upon entering you descend two flights of stairs into a large underground, darkened space with a large open restaurant and bar supported by industrial strength steel beams, various private rooms and conversation areas, and access to a stone escape tunnel?!?
The restaurant has a fun, energetic vibe and we had great service.
It was Happy Hour so we both ordered a Mai Tai served in a tiki style glass, garnished with fresh orchids and mint. ($10)
We shared tender smoked baby back ribs ($14), fried burrata ($11), chips with onion dip ($8) and meatballs ($9). Everything was tasty, the meatballs served with hot peppers and on the spicy side.
On Thursday night they offer a pasta special.  We both enjoyed it. Give it a try.
We made our way to Crazy Mason located in the Waterfront, a new milkshake bar but the menu offers an extensive list of ice cream choices.  The line was long but we decided to wait since a previous time that we attempted to go the line was two hours long.
We shared a peanut butter elaborate concoction with peanut butter cups, peanut butter pieces, marshmallow cream and syrup for $15 but we did forego the keepsake mason jar that adds an additional $4 to your shake!! It was good, took 1.5 hours to be served and for being moderately busy the flow was poorly organized.
Until next time, happy eating!
