-SEPTEMBER-
It was my choice of restaurants this month and I chose Palm Palm in East Liberty. Great vibe!! Very trendy decor and lighting. They offer a dining room, a lounge, a bar and an outdoor patio. Since outdoor dining is fading fast, we chose the patio. They have umbrellas but as it started to pour down rain we were not protected so we had to change tables. The staff was very accommodating.
Rachael chose a Frankie Louise, served very foamy and bright orange in color. Rating was OK, not worth $17. We ordered several small plates and enjoyed each one and there were many to choose from.
We ordered short rib BBQ – very tender ($14)
Chicken lettuce wraps ($14)
Fried goat cheese ($9)
Delicious beets and citrus ($10)
We were really fancy and ordered pommes frites and caviar!! ($20)
All were very tasty, served hot and were nice portions. Our server was very sweet and attentive.
Unfortunately, I had some unexpected issues come up, and dessert was not planned. To make the best of it, we had hot fudge sundaes at Kelley’s Dari-Delite on Baptist Road. They were decent but the owner was very crabby.
Not my best performance at all!! Better next time!
