Restaurant Roulette with Suzanne! October Issue!

There are 3 rules to the game:

1) Every month one person picks the places to dine.

2) No one in the group could have eaten there before.

3) Everyone splits the bill.

Follow me on this journey of tasting new things and learning more about the city I love! Feel free to use this game with your own family or friends and share below the amazing places you find throughout your travels!

-OCTOBER-

We started off the month with dinner in the Strip District and this time was Rachael’s choice of restaurants. We had dinner at the Pennsylvania Market, a quite large space with various options on two levels. It was an old textile warehouse in the past. The main level was closed for the evening and is an open area with a bar and fire pits. Upstairs is a bar, a coffee bar and is where you place your dining order. We chose to eat on the balcony but realized it was quite chilly. Fall has arrived! The overall restaurant was quite awkward from ordering to delivery and service. We asked for small plates, drink refills and to go containers. The prices did not reflect the level of service. The food was delivered quickly and was served hot.
Rachael enjoyed the Smolder and Spice, pineapple rum, ginger liqueur and pecan bitters.
We shared a nice beet salad
Artichoke and spinach dip served with tortilla chips
and a medium Just Peachy pizza. The pizza had great flavor prepared with a white sauce, hot honey soaked peaches, prosciutto, ricotta, basil and balsamic glaze.
On to Squirrel Hill to Nana’s Scoops, a small store offering sweets, Perry’s ice cream and a variety of coffee drinks. Rachael really enjoyed her decaf espresso and a Dubai cookie with a crunchy shredded topping and pistachio cream. I had the Affogato and it was divine 😊.
The seating was only outside but we enjoyed every sip and bite in the chill of the evening. Note to self….jackets next time!
Until next month…happy eating!
