There are 3 rules to the game:
1) Every month one person picks the places to dine.
2) No one in the group could have eaten there before.
3) Everyone splits the bill.

-AUGUST-
This month, it was Rachael’s turn to choose the restaurant, and what a wonderful choice it was. Her friend, who lives near Beaver, recommended Biba Kitchen, a small, intimate restaurant featuring an open kitchen and a thoughtfully curated menu.

We began our meal with the focaccia bread, infused with orange olive oil ($5), and a salt-roasted beet salad made with fresh greens, peaches, and beets, topped with prosciutto and creamy goat cheese ($12). Both starters were beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor.

For our entrées, we ordered a rib-eye steak, sliced and served over chimichurri sauce with a side of crispy skillet fries ($39), and the evening’s special, halibut served over grilled zucchini and a creamy corn purée ($45). Every dish was expertly prepared, and the combination of flavors made the meal truly memorable. Biba Kitchen has definitely earned a spot on our “return visit” list.

After dinner, we crossed the street to the absolutely charming Blackbird Market, a delightful combination gift shop, wine store, and ice cream parlor.

They offer hard-serve chocolate and vanilla ice cream, which can be customized with your choice of mix-ins and toppings. The ice cream is blended to order, creating a delicious treat tailored to your tastes. It was fantastic, and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful.
Beaver is such a lovely, welcoming small town, filled with thriving independent shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning soon.

Happy eating!
